TableCheck Inc. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yu Taniguchi; hereinafter "TableCheck"), which develops solutions including reservation and customer management systems for restaurants in 23 countries, has opened an office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the company's sixth overseas location, to meet expanding demand overseas.
■Growing number of restaurant adopters overseas
TableSolution has been adopted by 4,900 restaurants*1 in 23 countries, with 204 of these adopter restaurants*2 outside of Japan. Following the establishment of the first overseas office in South Korea in 2017, the company has steadily expanded its record of adoption overseas, and has now established its first office in the Middle East. In line with growing demand in the Middle East and Europe, the company has decided to establish offices in the region and hire local employees. In the future, the company will hire employees who are deeply familiar with local markets, and will accelerate its global development by speedily adapting to markets.

■ A hub for expanding into the growing UAE dining market and into Europe and Africa
UAE is one of the world's great tourism destinations, ranked 7th*3 worldwide for number of foreign tourists, which have increased to 15.92 million per year.*4 The dining market grew 9.7%*5 from 2017 to 2018; an International Expo is scheduled for 2020, and further growth is anticipated. In addition to the Asian region in which TableCheck has expanded so far, the company will focus on expanding its business through the establishment of the base in UAE, which will function as a relay city for logistics and distribution to Africa and Europe, to support expansion into those regions.

Country Manager: Marc Assar
Marc Assar has served for the past 15 years as a director of operations and technical support in the technology field of the hospitality industry. He began his career in project management and technical support. He gains his experience in telecommunication from Germany since 2004. He will utilize his relationship building and leadership skills to develop new business and channels as the Country Manager in the TableCheck Dubai office. He joined TableCheck in August 2019.
Financial and Business Development Manager: Leena Tickley
Leena Tickley has a career of over 25 years in the hospitality industry. A South African national born in Dubai, she began her career in finance and business development. Her broad experience and strengths range from global hotel chain launch preparation and F&B department launch, to concept development and operations. She moved to UAE in 2005 and joined TableCheck in November 2019.
Graduated from Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages, major in English. Joined the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo in 2005 (formerly The Four Seasons Hotel.) Joined TableCheck in 2016 after a successful career history of over 10 years in Japanese and Western restaurants.
