At "YORUYA," rather than viewing the seasons as four seasons on a calendar, we express Kurashiki's local culture through food experiences in which ingredients and cooking methods are determined by the 24 solar terms and 72 seasonal divisions, in accordance with the changing of the seasons.

Seasonal Dinner Course

At YORUYA, we craft a dining experience that captures the delicate shifts in the
seasons. Guided by Japan's 24 seasonal divisions and 72 micro-seasons, we
carefully select ingredients and cooking methods to authentically express the local
culture of Kurashiki. Our menu is inspired by the history of Kurashiki—a town that
once flourished as a hub of water transport, where goods brought from across the
Seto Inland Sea passed through on their way to Osaka and other regions. We
reflect this history in our use of ingredients, from fresh seafood from the Seto
Inland Sea to the seasonal produce from the surrounding mountains, all prepared
with traditional Japanese culinary techniques.
