Our name joins the tea ceremony (cha-no-yu) with "play" (yu). In a restored 120-year-old Higashi Chaya teahouse, our chef, a tea teacher of 20 years in cooking and tea, serves authentic cha-kaiseki with the tea ceremony, featuring Kaga vegetables and Sea of Japan fish.

kodo, Kaiseki & Tea – An Introduction to Chanoyu
This is a introductory course to the way of tea: you’ll calm your mind through aroma appreciation, enjoy a kaiseki meal, and finally experience a traditional tea ceremony. It’s a special tea ceremony experience just for you, held in Higashi Chaya District. Please savor the aroma, food, and tea as one seamless experience. (Approx. 90 minutes; 11,000 yen including tax; starts at 12:00; closed on Tuesdays)
