Donabe Saizen Toyoake
A Kyoto morning begins with a bowl of rice cooked in a clay pot.
At our restaurant, we offer “Kyoto Clay Pot Kaiseki,” a meal centered around rice cooked in a traditional clay pot.
Featuring Japan’s time-honored method of cooking rice in clay pots, we use only carefully selected ingredients—such as Kyoto-grown vegetables from trusted producers and free-range eggs from northern Kyoto. Each dish is prepared individually, allowing guests to enjoy the live cooking experience right before their eyes.
Nestled in a peaceful setting near Heian Shrine, we aim to provide an authentic “Japanese breakfast” experience. Our goal is to convey what truly makes Japanese food delicious.
