The concept behind this spectacular restaurant is “Kyo-Cuisine”, a ‘culinary extravaganza’ primarily based on French cuisine, in a wonderful marriage with Italian and other European techniques and ingredients combined with an amazingly delicious Kyoto essence. Coto refers to the Japanese word ‘Koto’, which literally means ‘ancient capital’, and ‘ciel’ is French for ‘sky’.
