1.   How to Make a Reservation

TableCheck connects directly to the restaurant's reservation management system and allows you to book reservations in real-time.

Booking Workflow

  • Step 1: In the Reservation form, please enter your desired date, time, number of guests, and your name and contact information. In addition, some merchants may require you to select a course plan. When you have entered the required information, click "Next Step" at the bottom of the form.
  • Step 2: On the next page, please review your information. If it is correct, please click "Confirm" to place your reservation with the merchant. Otherwise, there is an option to "Go Back" and repeat Step 1.
  • Step 3: After pressing "Confirm", you will be directed to a page showing the details of your completed reservation.

※ Certain restaurants may not display course plan selection in Step 1.

※ Certain restaurants may display a timetable of table availability after you input your desired number of guests.

2.   Pending Reservations

Most merchants will automatically accept your reservation after completing the above steps. However, certain merchants may first place your reservation into "Pending" status which will require their staff to manually confirm your booking.

Pending Reservations

  • Step 1: When you reach the completed reservation page in Step 3 above, you will see an amber message indicating that your reservation is in "Pending" status and you must wait for the restaurant to confirm your reservation.
  • Step 2: When the merchant confirms your booking you will receive an email and/or SMS. Upon confirmation from merchant, your reservation is finalized and you may visit the shop at your scheduled time. The your reservation page will now display a green "Accepted" message.

※ If your reservation is "Pending" and you did not receive an email or SMS contact in Step 1, please contact the restaurant directly as you may not not receive the follow-up mail.

3.   Customer Information

In order to processed your reservation, the merchant requires your name, phone number (mobile or landline), and your email address. There are 3 ways in which you may input this information.

  1. You may enter your information in the fields provided upon each booking.
  2. You may click "Facebook" or "Google" links to import your information from your social media account.
  3. You may register a new TableCheck account while creating your reservation, which enables you to make repeat bookings without having to enter your information each time. For further information, please see the "Memberships" section below.
  4. If you have previously created a TableCheck account, you may login by clicking the "TableCheck" button.

Please note that you not register an account with an email already in use by an existing account.

4.   How to Check Your Reservation

You may access the details of your reservation in the following ways:

  1. By clicking "My Reservations" and entering your reservation confirmation code.
  2. Via the link in your reservation in your email.
  3. Via the link in your reservation confirmation SMS.

In order to receive an SMS, you must enter a mobile phone number then check the "SMS" option at time of booking.

5.   Cancelling a Reservation

How to Cancel

Cancellations may be made from the reservation details page. You may access this page in the following ways:

  1. By clicking "My Reservations" and entering your reservation confirmation code.
  2. Via the link in your reservation in your email.
  3. Via the link in your reservation confirmation SMS.

※ In order to cancel, if you did not create a TableCheck account you will be prompted to enter the email or phone number which you used to make the booking.

6.   Reservation Notification Delivery

TableCheck will deliver email and SMS notifications to you in the following cases. In order to receive SMS notifications, you must enter a mobile phone number then check the "SMS" option at time of booking.

  1. When you make a new reservation
  2. When you cancel a reservation
  3. A reminder around noon on the day before your reservation

In addition, you will receive a notification in the following cases:

  1. If the merchant cancels or otherwise cannot accept your reservation, e.g. due to weather.
  2. If the merchant sends an urgent notice concerning your reservation.

7.   SMS Messaging

SMS messages sent from TableCheck will be sent by sender name "TableCheck". In cases where the SMS network carrier or country telecom restrictions do not allow "TableCheck" to be used as a sender name, a different name such as "Info" or a numeric code may be substituted.

TableCheck cannot guarantee that other senders will not use the same SMS sender name that we do. To avoid confusion, phishing scams, etc. please note that TableCheck will only send SMS messages related to your reservations. Links contained within SMS messages from TableCheck will use a short URL service (e.g. https://goo.gl) which redirects to a URL within the https://www.tablecheck.com domain.

8.   Merchant Mailing Lists

If you opted-in to receive offers from the merchant at the time you made your reservation, the merchant may send email communications to you. To unsubscribe, you may click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the emails. Alternatively, TableCheck members may unsubscribe via their account settings page.

9.   TableCheck Membership Signup and Login

How to Signup

  1. When booking a reservation, you may check the "Create a TableCheck account" checkbox in the "Guest Details" area. This will prompt you to enter a password.
  2. Alternatively, you may click the "My Reservations" button in the top-right corner of the page and choose "Create New Account."

How to Login

  1. When booking a reservation, you may click the "TableCheck" button in the "Guest Details" area.
  2. Alternatively, you may click the "My Reservations" button in the top-right corner of the page.

10.   About TableCheck Membership

Creating a TableCheck membership account enables you to access the following features:

  1. View your reservation history.
  2. Manage your subscriptions to merchant mailing lists.
