Advance purchase requiredTea Ceremony “Tea of Memories” ROKU KYOTO stands in the Takao area of Kyoto, a place where the aesthetic sensibilities of the Rimpa school come to life.
From October 23 (Fri) to November 1 (Sun), 2026, we will host “Hon’ami Shō Glass Installation” by glass artist Hon’ami Kōetsu. To coincide with this exhibition, we are offering a special tea ceremony, “Tea of Memories,” for four days only.
Savor tea served in vessels and tea utensils crafted by Hon’ami Kōetsu, along with confections specially prepared for this occasion by “Kōetsudō,” a wagashi shop located in Kyoto’s Takagamine district. As you contemplate the delicate textures of the glass and the ever-changing play of light, enjoy this moment where tradition and contemporary sensibility intertwine.
At ROKU KYOTO, surrounded by nature in Takagamine, we offer a special experience exclusive to this period—a harmonious blend of art, tea, and sweets. Dates: October 26 (Mon), 27 (Tue), 29 (Thu), and 30 (Fri), 2026 Times: 2:00–2:45 PM / 3:00–3:45 PM (each session lasts 45 minutes) Fee: JPY4,000 (tax and service charge included) Capacity: 10 guests per session Venue: ROKU KYOTO Entrance *The venue is under the entrance canopy; part of it is an open area without a roof.
