Meat Library
WHAT TO EXPECT
● The Meat Library is an intimate wooden cottage located adjacent to the parking facilities at Hotel La Neige. The experience begins at 5:30 pm.
● This is a shared tasting experience, and we kindly ask guests to arrive on time to ensure a smooth start for everyone.
● Inside the cottage, you will enjoy a curated selection of our artisanal charcuterie, all cured on site using traditional European techniques and the natural climate of Hakuba. Andy, our Hakuba Charcutier, or his colleague Carlo, will personally introduce the different varieties and share insights into the craftsmanship behind each piece.
● The tasting is accompanied by freshly baked home-made bread and a selection of beverages. The experience lasts approximately 90 minutes.
● Please note that this is a tasting experience rather than a full dinner. While the portions are generous and often sufficient as a dinner substitute, guests with a larger appetite may wish to make a separate dinner reservation following the event.
● All ages are welcome; however, the experience is primarily designed for adults.
WHAT TO PREPARE
● The Meat Library is maintained at approximately 12°C (54°F) to ensure optimal conditions for curing and preserving the meats. We therefore recommend wearing warm clothing. An outdoor fireplace is available should you wish to warm up during the experience.
● Please note that the cottage is intentionally rustic and space is limited. The experience is standing-only and designed to be relaxed and informal.
● We kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to accommodate special dietary requirements or personal food preferences. The Meat Library is conceived as a distinctive experience for meat lovers. While a limited selection of bread and salmon is available, alternative dishes cannot be provided, as the cottage is a stand-alone storage facility without cooking facilities.
