Silk Road Dining will host a "Taiwanese Medicinal Cuisine Lunch Seminar" featuring culinary researcher Emi Miyatake, offering a chance to enjoy Taiwanese food culture and wellness.

Ms. Miyatake, recipient of the 2025 "Taiwan Tourism Contribution Award" from the Taiwanese government, will give a talk introducing the Taiwanese concept of "food and medicine are one," followed by a live cooking demonstration. Following this, head chef Masayuki Kobayashi will prepare one of the dishes, offering a special Taiwanese medicinal cuisine course created specifically for this event.

The five-course meal, incorporating ingredients such as dried plums, water spinach, Taiwanese oolong tea, pineapple sauce, and Nara's traditional ingredient, Yamato Toki (Japanese angelica tree), will be enjoyed as a "wellness experience through food" that nourishes both mind and body, accompanied by a Taiwanese-style wellness drink.

Join Ms. Miyatake, who has ties to Nara, for a special moment to experience the rich flavors of Taiwan in this place considered the end point of the Silk Road.
