Silk Road Dining will host the Taiwan Herbal Cuisine Lunch Seminar, welcoming culinary researcher Emi Miyatake to showcase the richness of Taiwanese food culture and wellness traditions.

The event features a talk by Ms. Miyatake—recipient of the 2025 Taiwan Tourism Contribution Award—introducing the Taiwanese philosophy of Ishoku Dogen (food as nourishment for both body and mind), followed by a live cooking demonstration. Executive Chef Masayuki Kobayashi will then present a Taiwanese dessert, leading into a special five‑course Taiwanese herbal cuisine menu created exclusively for this occasion.

The course highlights ingredients such as dry plum (Ubai), Suirensai, Taiwanese oolong tea, pineapple paste, and Nara’s traditional Yamato Toki herb. Paired with a Taiwanese‑style wellness drink, the menu offers a gentle, food‑focused wellness experience designed to bring balance and comfort.
