GASHUE Local Sake Culture Exploration Classroom Series, Part 1: Let's explore the sake breweries of Kitakyushu, guided by Kitakyushu natives Mr. K & Mr. C!
Japan has sake breweries in all 47 prefectures.
This means that there is definitely a sake brewery in your hometown prefecture.
However, the reality is that many local sake breweries are small businesses whose production capacity is limited to meeting local consumption, resulting in a large number of local sake brands that are largely unknown in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
With the theme of introducing more people to local sake breweries in their respective hometowns and allowing them to enjoy the taste of their representative sake brands, we have launched a new event series, the "GASHUE Local Sake Culture Exploration Classroom Series," which will be held irregularly (co-sponsored) based on recommendations from sake lovers.
The first event in this series is "Let's Explore Kitakyushu's Sake Breweries!", guided by Mr. K & Mr. C (Mr. Kishihara & Mr. Nakajo), a duo born in Kitakyushu who love and are intimately familiar with the charms of Kitakyushu's local sake.
The sake to be offered will include Munakata/Izu Honten, Okinoshima/Katsuya Shuzo, Muhomatsu/Muhomatsu Shuzo, Tenshin/Mizogami Shuzo, Shichiyo/Shichiyo Shuzo, Kyushu Kiku/Hayashi Ryuhei Shuzojo, and others.[Date and Time] Tuesday, May 19th, 18:30 onwards
