Due to repainting work on the Heian Shrine buildings, this lunch plan is available only during the cherry blossom viewing season and allows you to enjoy a special tour of the shrine grounds, accompanied by a priest.

The shrine grounds are the sacred sanctuary closest to the gods.

As you listen to an explanation from the priest, you will step into this space, which is normally closed to the public, and quietly experience the history and prayers that have been passed down at Heian Shrine.

This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the Nagare-zukuri main hall, one of the largest in Japan.

The cherry blossoms that adorn the grounds in spring bloom softly, creating an exceptionally beautiful scene where the solemn shrine building and the pale floral scenery intertwine.


Enjoy a moment of tranquil savory reminiscences as you savor the lingering aroma of the cherry blossoms, and enjoy a special tour and a lunch that cherishes the seasonal atmosphere.
