Inspired by the concept of Mercure, a French hotel brand that strives to let its guests experience local culture and inspiration, Mercure Tokyo Hibiya was created in Hibiya—a sacred site for the performing arts. With “stage art” as its design concept, this theme is reflected throughout the hotel.
At “La Scène,” the on-site restaurant, café, and bar where a large installation symbolizing the graceful movements of Paris Opera’s top dancers—the “Étoiles”—hangs from the ceiling, we are pleased to offer an afternoon tea themed after “Swan Lake,” the second of Tchaikovsky’s three great ballets, following last year’s Christmas-themed “The Nutcracker.”
This exclusive summer-only experience features an array of sweets that capture the world of the Ballet Blumeister’s production of “Swan Lake” along with the distinct personalities of its characters; pristine white savory items representing the tranquil stillness of a lake surface; and a limited-edition light blue beverage. All these delights are served alongside complimentary drinks. Chacott will also create a special display to beautifully adorn the space, offering a truly multisensory experience you won’t want to miss.
