This is an external interface. The typical interface is placed inside the panel.
This is an RS232 communication connection that connects the display panel network to the restaurant POS or computer. This serial port allows for computer driven inputs/outputs. The data generated on TABLECHECK can be captured and analyzed. For example a POS system interfaced with TABLECHECK can be setup to change a table to red when the check is printed for the guest. Additionally, the data captured can be analyzed in real time for availability estimation or later to provide statistical turn times for dining, seating, cleaning and setting up.
