Afternoon Exhibition Chapter 16 “Boating – Shimmering Waters”
Presented by Whisk, the bar and lounge inspired by an artist’s atelier, Afternoon Exhibition is an afternoon tea series designed to stimulate the senses.
For this edition, in its first collaboration with the National Museum of Western Art (Taito-ku, Tokyo), Whisk presents an “artful tasting experience” themed around Claude Monet’s beloved masterpiece, Boating.
The theme artwork, Boating, was selected as the No. 1 choice in the public vote to determine the design featured on the 2026 Passport Ticket for the National Museum of Western Art Permanent Collection, receiving the greatest support among four candidate works. Painted by Claude Monet, the Impressionist master known as the “painter of light,” Boating is reinterpreted in this exhibition through delicate colors, layered textures, and refined flavors. Each bite is designed to evoke the shimmering transitions of light found in the painting.

Matcha & Ganache “Layered Parfait” + Café Free Flow
60-minute unlimited café service with your choice of Sarutahiko specialty coffee or 8 Brew Tea selections.
[Matcha & Ganache Layered Parfait]
A spring layered parfait that pairs the deep bitterness of matcha with the bittersweet richness of chocolate. Inspired by the soft light filtering through shoji screens and the framed view of a traditional circular tea room window, this visually elegant dessert captures the beauty of a Japanese tea space. Topped with a round cookie reminiscent of a tea room’s circular window, the parfait unfolds in layers of matcha jelly, whiskey ganache, and matcha panna cotta with a whole strawberry, finishing with the smooth richness of matcha and chocolate. Enjoy the changing flavors with the accompanying kuromitsu matcha sauce.
Layer Composition
Top: Rich matcha ice cream with “circular window” decoration
First Layer: Matcha jelly
Second Layer: Whisky ganache
Third Layer: Matcha panna cotta
Fourth Layer: Matcha sponge
Fifth Layer: Matcha ganache
≪Beverages≫
Enjoy unlimited servings of Sarutahiko Coffee specialty coffee or your choice of eight types of Brew Tea Selection.
