In celebration of the Year of the Horse, this Bunjin Sencha Gathering is held with the wish that “everything will go smoothly in the coming year.”

We are honored to welcome Mr. Shion Tsukuda of Issa-an, who will introduce the hanging scrolls and tea utensils he
brings, while unfolding a narrative-like tea experience filled with stories and meanings.
Guests will have the rare opportunity to witness Mr.Tsukuda’s refined sencha temae—the graceful art of preparing sencha—embodying a harmonious blend of tradition,
intellect, and modern sensibility.

The accompanying cuisine, inspired by auspicious motifs and
seasonal ingredients, will express the theme of good
fortune in NIJIRI’s unique style.
