Hakataro is located on the 2nd floor of Mitsui Garden Hotel Premier, a branch of a famous Fukuoka restaurant that has been in business for over 20 years. The interior has black and brown keynotes, giving it a luxurious feel. The tables in the back are partitioned into small rooms with a calm, quiet atmosphere.
The karaage of Oita and the chicken nanban of Miyazaki are the most popular dishes on our lunch menu. For dinner we recommend the motsunabe and mizutaki dishes of Hakata. The texture of the motsu - beef offal - is exceptional. Our course menu, the Kyushu Umakamon Assortment, is a chance to try a variety of Hakata favorites.
Our other specialty is the ikizukuri (preparing while alive) of fresh squid, straight from the tank and onto your plate. The sweet, soft texture of fresh squid is unique and different from any other squid sashimi. After enjoying it as sashimi, it will be served grilled or in tempura, so you can experience it in different dishes.
