The Aoi Matsuri (Hollyhock Festival) is a symbol of Kyoto's early summer tradition, symbolizing the spirit and pride of the people of Kyoto. A massive procession stretching approximately one kilometer, featuring 511 people dressed in gorgeous court attire, 36 horses, four oxen, two oxcarts, and one palanquin, parades a distance of approximately eight kilometers.

This plan includes front-row tickets to the paid "Learning Seats" viewing area. Experience the festival's charms even more with a guided audio guide featuring real-time commentary from dedicated staff.

After viewing the Aoi Matsuri, lunch will be served at the Heian Jingu Kaikan. While looking out at the scenic Shinen Garden, you can enjoy a Japanese-Western fusion cuisine inspired by the food said to have been eaten by the Saio-dai, the heroine of the Aoi Festival.
