Sonia Biché, a seafood specialist honored with France’s prestigious M.O.F. (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) title, is launching a world tour project titled “20,000 places sur les mers” (20,000 Places on the Seas).
This project focuses on seafood and explores the people and histories of each region, and it is coming to Japan. For this event, Sonia Biché will collaborate with VMG’s Grand Chef Ishii for a special dinner featuring five fish courses highlighting Japanese seafood and two desserts, served with thoughtful pairings.

From France, she is a specialist in the field of fish and holds the title of M.O.F (Best Craftsman of France) 2023.
She is working on this project with the support of Guillaume Gomes, who is the personal representative of French President Emmanuel Macron on gastronomy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
■Shu Ishii
A master of the Kansai French cuisine world with a career spanning over 45 years. She holds the honorary title of "Disciple Auguste Escoffier" and is a director of the Toques Blanches International Club and also serves as the West Japan Chairman. She is active in many areas, including as a Chevalier of the Academie Culinaire de France, a member of the Collège Culinaire du Japon, and an Ehime Food Ambassador.
