Roasted adzuki tea

When making the koshian paste, we use azuki bean skins, which would normally be discarded.
The skins are roasted because the heat causes the Maillard reaction, which intensifies the aroma and brings out the flavor. Just as matcha is made by grinding the entire tea leaf into powder and drinking it, we value "tasting each ingredient to the fullest."
Azuki bean skins retain their aroma and nutrients, so we aim to extract the flavor down to the last drop.

This special hojicha is carefully and slowly roasted in the "Ureshino Traditional Kiln" that is handed down in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture.
