Morning Temple Walk
Start your day with a lakeside walk to Chuzenji Temple, whose history stretches back to 784. The round-trip route is just three kilometers (1.9 miles), and can include entry into some of the halls to see an acclaimed dragon painting, statues of the five wisdom kings, and the principal object of worship—an eleven-faced, thousand-armed statue of the bodhisattva Kannon said to have been carved by the temple’s founder.

commitment to heartful living. The calligraphy brush you use may be brought

Nikko carving is also known as a traditional craft of Nikko that carves wood using a unique triangular sword called "Hikkaki".
