ジャズピアノを小曽根真に師事。
バークリー音楽大学オーディションで学費全額免除を獲得し、在学中にはジャズ・パフォーマンス・アワードを受賞。
2018年、エリス・マルサリス国際ジャズ・ピアノ・コンペティションにて第2位および最優秀作曲賞を受賞。米CBSの番組に3日連続で出演し、オバマ大統領夫人の前で演奏を披露するなど、国際的な評価を得る。2020年には小曽根真プロデュースによるデビューアルバム『RINA』をリリースし、「第13回CDショップ大賞2021ジャズ賞」を受賞。2022年にはアメリカ・ロチェスター・インターナショナル・ジャズ・フェスティバルに招聘され、万雷の喝采を浴びた。2023年、セカンドアルバム『TransparentBlue』を発売。2023年4月より小江戶川越観光親善大使に就任。2024年、横浜市港北区⺠文化センター・ミズキーホールのホールアーティストに就任
2025年7月にはカナダで開催されたオスカー・ピーターソン生誕100周年記念コンサートに出演するなど、国際的な舞台で活躍の幅を広げている。同年10月、大阪・関⻄万博EXPOホールで開催された、小山薫堂氏プロデュースによる日本最大級の若手料理人コンペティション「RED U-35 2025」の一環として、千住明氏プロデュースのスペシャルライブに出演し演奏。12月3日、サードアルバム“JOKER”を発売。
現在はTBSテレビの朝の情報番組『TheTime’』『TheTime,』にも出演し、音楽シーンのみならずメディアからも注目を集めている。
