It’s a small kaiseki restaurant with only a counter. Young chefs with experience at high-end restaurants showcase their skills here.

● Children under 12 are not permitted.
● Cancellations on the day of or the day before the reservation will incur a 100% charge; cancellations 3 days in advance will incur a 50% charge.
● For private events, we can accommodate groups of 7–8 people. If you’d like to book for 8 people, please make a reservation for “7 people” and write “Desire to have a private event for 8 people” in the special requests section.
● Although credit card information is required at the time of booking, payment is settled on-site on the day of your visit. Only in cases of cancellation on the day or the day before will the cancellation fee be charged to the registered card. Debit cards and prepaid cards are acceptable, but not recommended.
● Unfortunately, we do not have a parking lot. If arriving by car, please use nearby parking facilities. If arriving by bicycle, feel free to park it—just let our staff know.

「照今」では料亭「研野」に勤務する若手料理人が3ヶ月ごとに1名選ばれて、料理長・田淵加奈子とともに一つのコースを組み立てます。第1回目は、髙橋歩と田淵のコラボレーションです。

京都各地で和食店を営む「燕楽」を実家に持つ髙橋。「家業を継ぎたい」という強い想いのもと、市場で働きながら調理師学校の夜間部に通い昼夜腕を磨きました。今回は父に習った実家の名物も登場。一方、料理長に就任したばかりの田淵は、照今の開店に備えて手打ち蕎麦の技を磨いていました。共通するテーマは「絵に描いたような・和食」。ほっこり美味しい和食の味を、いかに奥深く洗練させていくか。新鮮な気持ちで楽しんでいただけましたら嬉しいです！

At "Terukon," one young chef from "Kenno" is selected every three months to create a course menu together with head chef Kanako Tabuchi. The second installment is a collaboration between Yuki Nakagawa and Tabuchi.

Nakagawa, who has built a 10-year career at a high-end kappo restaurant in Okayama, is now actively working in a head chef-like position at "Kenno." While possessing solid cooking skills, he doesn't adhere to tradition, instead building his dishes with flexible ideas. He uses meat and spices, and even creates dishes inspired by tacos. He loves alcohol and considers the pairing of food and drink when making suggestions.

Tabuchi's cooking has also deepened. In addition to the monthly special "handmade soba," he has created hit dishes one after another, such as spring rolls resembling triangular pies and incredibly delicious minced meat cutlets. Please enjoy the collaboration of these two chefs who support our company!

With seven years of experience honed at the historic ryotei Hyotei, Yamamoto has set a clear goal of opening her own restaurant in her hometown of Nara in the near future. Driven by her vision to "create a place that inspires people to visit Nara," she continues to deepen her exploration of the region's culinary culture. From Yamato beef and heritage Yamato vegetables to traditional specialties like Miwa somen, kakinoha-zushi, and local sake—Nara is home to an abundance of wonderful flavors. How will these elements be reimagined through Yamamoto’s unique perspective? A collaboration between two female chefs—a rarity in the world of traditional Japanese cuisine—this event promises to offer a warm and inviting dining experience. We look forward to welcoming you!
