Lunch Service Closure
Thank you for your continued patronage of Gion Karyo.
We have decided to temporarily suspend our long-standing lunch service.
We sincerely thank all of our customers for their patronage.
We regret to have to make this announcement, despite the kind words we have received.
The reason for the closure of lunch service is that staffing constraints have made it difficult to maintain adequate preparation and service quality. In addition, we are reviewing our system to provide better food and service, and are preparing to improve the quality of our operations.
We will announce the reopening date as soon as it is decided.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and trouble this may cause, and we look forward to your continued patronage.

▶If we are unable to contact you within 30 minutes of your reservation time, we may be forced to cancel your reservation, so please be sure to contact us if you are going to be late.
▶We do not accept guests with young elementary school children (third grade and below).
We apologize for the inconvenience, but if you have children, please contact the restaurant directly by phone.
▶For the kaiseki meals priced at 16,500 yen (tax included) and 19,800 yen (tax included),
due to procurement reasons, we would appreciate it if you could make your reservation at least one business day in advance.
We also accept dinner courses for lunch, but
in that case, please make your reservation at least one business day in advance.
▶We may not be able to accommodate guests who cannot eat fish in general or vegetarians, and we may have to refuse entry.
