From April 18th (Sat) to June 14th (Sun), in conjunction with the 2026 NHK Taiga Drama Special Exhibition [The Toyotomi Brothers!] held at the Tokugawa Art Museum, we will be offering a limited-time collaboration course that allows you to enjoy the world of the work with all your senses.
This course was born from the chef's imagination of "What kind of food would please the two brothers if they were to visit Tokugawa Garden in modern times?" Each dish incorporates historical episodes, such as "Moriguchi-zuke" (pickled vegetables) said to have been named by Hideyoshi, "sea bream" which he loved, and a dessert inspired by the "golden tea room."
Using abundant local ingredients from Aichi Prefecture, such as Mikawa eel and Aichi duck, we will deliver a refined and exquisite culinary experience unique to Tokugawa Garden.

[Amuse/Memories of Jurakudai]
- Mikawa Eel, Burdock Root -
The splendor of Jurakudai, established by the great ruler Hideyoshi, is expressed in golden tableware. This luxurious dish features Mikawa eel, reminiscent of the sweet and spicy seasoning favored by Hideyoshi, and features the Kyoto local dish "Yahatamaki."
[Premier/Dawn of Naniwa]
- Red Sea Bream, Moriguchi Pickles, Caviar -
This dish combines Hideyoshi's beloved red sea bream with "Moriguchi Pickles," a Nagoya specialty said to have been named by Hideyoshi himself. The presentation, inspired by Osaka Castle, heralds the dawn of a golden age.
[Chaud] Yamato Compassion
- Turnip, Yuba, Consommé, Truffle -
This dish pays homage to Hidenaga, the younger brother who supported his older brother and devoted himself to agricultural policy. His favorite root vegetables and yuba, which is said to have been familiar to him due to his association with temples during his rule of Yamato Province, are enveloped in the modern aroma of consommé and truffle.
[Poisson / Samurai's Banquet]
- Sea bass, green vegetables, sake lees -
Sea bass, a favorite of Sengoku samurai, is served with a special sauce inspired by the sake and lees soup that brothers Hideyoshi and Hidenaga enjoyed at banquets and in their daily lives. This ancient banquet is elevated to a modern French style.
[Viande / Symbol of a Ruler]
- Shinejime "Aichi Duck" -
Duck, a symbol of a warlord's authority and seasonal sensitivity, is said to have been Hideyoshi's favorite dish at banquets. This local Aichi brand, "Aichi Duck," is prepared using the nerve-jime technique to maximize its flavor.
[Dessert/Golden Tea Room]
- Matcha, Strawberry, Gold Leaf -
Inspired by Hideyoshi's beloved "Golden Tea Room," this dessert features rich matcha pound cake and cream garnished with gold leaf, evoking the opulent culture of the Toyotomi era.
