TableCheck and Visa Launch Dine with Visa in Japan 2026 for International Diners

TableCheck, a global restaurant reservation and guest management platform, announced the launch of Dine with Visa in Japan 2026, a restaurant campaign created in collaboration with Visa to welcome international visitors to Japan.
Building on the success of last year’s program, which saw participation from more than 10,000 overseas diners, the 2026 campaign is designed to help international guests enjoy a more comfortable and convenient dining experience at leading restaurants across Japan.

Over 10,000 International Guests Participated in the 2025 Campaign
The Dine with Visa in Japan 2025 campaign welcomed more than 10,000 international guests, primarily from Southeast Asia and North America, reflecting the growing role of online restaurant reservations in the inbound travel experience.
Reservations made through the campaign also recorded a cancellation rate approximately 50% lower than the average for international bookings, highlighting the program’s ability to provide a more reliable and reassuring booking experience for both diners and restaurants.
As culinary experiences continue to play an increasingly important role in travel to Japan, TableCheck and Visa are collaborating once again to deliver the campaign in 2026.

Special Dining Offers at Participating Restaurants in Japan
The campaign includes over 30 restaurants in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, offering a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, yakiniku, and kaiseki.
Visa cards issued outside Japan are eligible for a 10% discount on selected menu items, providing a more reliable dining experience for overseas guests.
A Seamless Reservation and Payment Experience for International Travelers
Dining in a foreign country can be challenging due to language barriers, cultural differences, and payment concerns. By combining Visa’s trusted global payment network with TableCheck’s multilingual online reservation system, the campaign provides a clear, intuitive, and comfortable dining experience—from booking and arrival to payment.
Campaign pages and restaurant information are available in 23 languages, including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean, ensuring accessibility for travelers from around the world.
Diverse Lineup of Restaurants Across Japan
The campaign features a diverse lineup of restaurants across Japan, ranging from well-known destinations for traditional Japanese cuisine to locally loved spots and modern Japanese dining concepts.
The lineup is curated around restaurants that international travelers want to visit at least once, highlighting food as one of the most memorable parts of a trip to Japan.
