Izon is a restaurant that explores world history and culture through the lens of spices.
Here, you can enjoy meticulously crafted spice-infused dishes that highlight Kyoto’s unique terroir.
■ Renewal starting August 5
Beginning August 5, both lunch and dinner menus will be completely renewed. We will relaunch as “Innovative Spice Gastronomy,” offering just 4 seats per session.
■ Reservation Information
Operating hours and start times
・ Lunch until August 2:
11:30 / 12:30 / 13:30 (all sessions start simultaneously for groups of 4)
※ Since sessions start at a set time, late arrivals may not be served some dishes.
・ Reservations from August 5 onward (both lunch and dinner):
Start times: 12:00 / 19:00 (limited to 4 seats per session)
※ For reservations of 3 or more people, the venue will be reserved exclusively for your group. Only in such cases can we adjust the start time; please indicate your preference in the special requests field.
Allergies
Guests with allergies to specific ingredients must inform us at the time of booking.
※ As preparing spices and broths takes time, we cannot accommodate allergy requests on the day of the visit. Please understand this in advance.
Seating arrangements
Due to the structure of this 100-year-old machiya, we cannot accommodate seating requests.
We hope you’ll appreciate the historic ambiance of our space.
Group and private bookings
Online reservations are limited to [4 people for lunch / 4 people for dinner].

Payment and service charge
For reservations made after August 5, a separate 10% service charge will be added at checkout.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations or changes to the number of guests are subject to the following fees:
・ Day before: 50% / Day of: 100%
※ If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, your reservation may be automatically canceled.
